What is Ozempic (Semaglutide)?
Ozempic It is a medication made from semiglutide, a peptide-based GLP-1 receptor agonist developed for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and now widely used for weight management and metabolic health as well.
By copying GLP-1, semiglutide manages glucose. It targets satiety and appetite. Ozempic relies on this pathway. Hunger drops and weight loss follows.
Main effects of Ozempic (Semaglutide)
🍽 Appetite Control
Semaglutide reduces hunger signals in the brain and slows gastric emptying, prolonging the feeling of fullness after meals.
🩸 Blood Sugar Control
Ozempic stimulates insulin secretion in response to meals and reduces glucagon release, helping to stabilize blood sugar levels, especially in cases of insulin resistance.
⚖️ Weight Loss
By reducing calorie intake and improving appetite control, semaglutide promotes fat loss without the need for extreme diets.
🫀 Metabolic and Cardiovascular Support
The use of Ozempic is often associated with improvements in blood pressure, lipid profile, and inflammatory markers, thereby reducing the overall metabolic risk.
