If you’re interested in GH, or growth hormone, you’ve probably already noticed that we offer a variety of products from different brands on this site. GH is notoriously expensive, but you can often achieve excellent results with generic HGH (always available HERE), which costs significantly less, is more affordable, and—in the case of the product we sell on this site—is tested and certified.
People who buy generic GH often ask us how to reconstitute it:
Unlike pharmaceutical HGH products like L’Oreal or Norditropin, where the molecule is already reconstituted or there is a device that automatically reconstitutes it upon first use, this product comes in small, sterile, vacuum-packed glass tubes containing 10 IU (international units) of GH powder to be reconstituted. Those who buy this product often find themselves a bit confused or unsure about how to use it: in this article, we explain in detail.
How to reconstitute a 10IU vial of generic GH
As mentioned, each vial of generic somatropin contains 10 units of powder, which must be reconstituted before use, i.e., dissolved in water. The water must be sterile water for injectable solutions, bacteriological water, or water for physiological injections, all of which can be purchased at any pharmacy or parapharmacy without a prescription.
For practical reasons—since we measure GH injections in units—take 1 mL of sterile water (an entire 100-IU insulin syringe) and inject it into the vial.
ATTENTION: the
– Always disinfect the top of the vial where you insert the needle
– GH is a very complex and unstable molecule; NEVER spray water directly onto the powder—instead, let it run slowly down the inside walls of the vial
– For the same reason, do not shake the vial to dissolve the solution; be patient, give it time to dissolve, and at most, roll it between your warm hands.
Once the powder has dissolved, you will have 10 liquid units of GH in the vial, ready for use:
If 1 mL (which is 100 insulin units) is equal to 10 units of GH, then you’ll know that every 10 insulin units (10 small marks on the insulin syringe) are equivalent to one unit of somatropin.
For example, if you want to inject 3 units of generic GH, you’ll need to fill the insulin syringe with the reconstituted solution up to the 30 mark.
Once the GH has been reconstituted, store it in the refrigerator in a place away from shocks or strong vibrations.
Inject GH only with insulin syringes, preferably subcutaneously or, at most, intramuscularly.
